Monitoring Visits in Schools

11th Mar 2019 2pm - 4pm Diocesan House, 36 Causton Street, London SW1P 4AU Course Fees:Free to schools who buy into Core Service or £30

It is accepted good practice for governors to visit their schools on a regular basis. In order to ensure that these visits are as informative and useful as possible, it is important that governing bodies have a clear understanding of their purpose and an agreed working relationship with the school.

This session will explore the do’s and don’ts of governor visits to schools, as well as share good practice and examine further the protocol underwriting effective visits.

The new OFSTED framework places even greater importance on the role of Governors, particularly in terms of how robustly they know the school and are able to challenge for improvement. This course will equip Governors with the skills and knowledge to have a sharper picture of what is going on in their school.
