Behaviour Support Specialist

Salary Range: UP3

Hours per week: 3 hours a week, 39 weeks per annum

We are recruiting a new Behaviour Support Specialist for St Richard’s Church of England Primary School, who will take up the post in September 2017 for a 1 year fixed term.

The purpose of the role is to work with the school to improve outcomes for children whose social and/or emotional behaviour is a cause for concern. The pupils may have difficulty accessing the curriculum due to behavioural difficulties created by underlying social, emotional, mental health or neurodevelopmental issues; their behaviour may also impact on the teaching and learning environment for other pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with the school, families and individual pupils with the emphasis on early intervention during the primary phase.
As a good practitioner you’ll have experience of working in schools with families and young children with additional needs where behaviour is an issue.
St Richard’s CE Primary School opened in January 2015. We are a one form entry, voluntary aided, Church of England primary school situated on the edge of the London Borough of Hounslow.
