The Fulham Boys School is an 11-18 school for boys. Founded by local parents and teachers, it opened with its first Year 7 boys in September 2014 and now has 800 boys including 200 in the Sixth Form.

We have made an ambitious pledge to be one of the very best schools in this country – state or private.

The Fulham Boys School is an independent government-funded school. We are a free school and fully embrace this freedom. To this end we have created and constantly reinforce a highly distinctive ethos. It is an ethos that is built upon the Christian faith, nurtures enterprise and is geared towards boys, supported by an academic curriculum that equips FBS boys to apply for Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.

Job Overview

The Fulham Boys School is seeking an inspirational and committed Head of Maths to lead this flagship department. Having consistently improved results each year from 2019 to 2023, Maths is now the most popular choice at A-level with excellent uptake including Further Maths. The department is fully staffed with both a wealth of experience and eager new practitioners. The new Head of department will be taking over the team at an exciting time as the department continues to grow and flourish.

The Maths department has achieved some great successes in recent years with pass rates at GCSE rising to 86.2% in 2023. At A-level, Maths moved up to Alps Band 2, placing it in the top 10% of schools in the country. Nearly half of our current Year 12 study Maths in the Sixth Form, cementing its status as a leading subject at the school.

About The Fulham Boys School
