At St Paul’s CE Primary School in Brentford have been looking at the achievements of famous black Britons.

Taking inspiration from the book ‘100 Great Black Britons’, the children created their own portraits of scientists, TV personalities, athletes and politicians. The children in Year 6 completed a study of the Windrush Generation and  Year 5 children found out about Claudia Jones, one of the founders of the Notting Hill Carnival.

The children’s portraits were absolutely amazing and their enthusiasm for learning about the lives and achievements of these amazing people was incredible.
